Project Manager - FSI (Based in Shanghai/Beijing)
Responsibilities:- Manage the program’s budget on behalf of the program sponsors, monitoring the expenditures and costs against delivered and realised benefits as the program progresses.
- Plan the program and monitoring its overall progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action.
- Management and analysis of issues.
- Build, manage and motivate the Program team.
- Ensure the delivery of new products or services from the projects is to the appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the program plan.
- Be responsible for the quality assurance and overall integrity of the program.
- Manage third party contributions to the program as appropriate.
- Communicate with all stakeholders.
- Manage both the dependencies and the interfaces between projects.
- Manage the risks to the program’s successful outcome.
- Report progress of the program at regular intervals to the Program Sponsors.
- A minimum of 8 years experience in Project / Program Management using leading methodologies and processes.
- Degree in Finance or Computer Science (strong preference towards: Business Management, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Computer Science). Masters Degree in financial field a strong preference.
- Strong knowledge of Financial Markets, preferably in Investment Management sector.
- Prince 2 level training or equivalent, and relevant professional qualifications
- Understand budgetary control and resource allocation procedures.
- The ability to work directly with senior management and employees throughout client organizations;
- Multi-national and cross border project experience;
- Demonstrated management skills, including the ability to train and develop staff, manage project budgets, and develop strong client relationships;
- Strong analytical and creative problem solving capabilities;
- Fluency in English and Mandarin.
- Clear and concise written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and resourcefulness which allow for creative and unique solutions to problems
- Strong individual contributor with high motivation, and the ability to take initiative, set priorities and perform tasks with minimal guidance
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, ability to work with many internal and external parties
- Comfortable with databases and technology in general,
- Advanced user of all MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Willing to travel
